  13.                     The MR Toolkit Version 1.0

  16. The MR Toolkit is a subroutine library that supports the development
  17. of Virtual Reality user interfaces and other forms of three dimensional
  18. user interfaces. The MR Toolkit provides support for various devices,
  19. such as the Polhemus Isotrak digitizer, VPL DataGlove, VPL EyePhone and
  20. sound synthesis equipment, that are commonly used in VR systems.

  22. The MR Toolkit also supports the distribution of the user interface
  23. over multiple workstations, data distributed over several workstations,
  24. numerous interaction techniques, physical and virtual geometry management,
  25. and real-time performance analysis tools. The current version of the
  26. MR Toolkit is callable from C programs on SGI and DEC workstations. 
  27. Some elements of the MR Toolkit will also run on other UNIX platforms.

  29. The toolkit is available at no cost to licenced academic and research
  30. institutions. To get version 1.0 of the MR toolkit, you must sign
  31. the licence form and mail it back to the University of Alberta.
  32. The person signing it should be a full-time employee of your
  33. organization, with a title such as Professor, Director, Manager, etc.

  36. copy of the licence from

  40.     cd pub/graphics/MR  and get the file "licence.ps"

  42. You will have to use binary mode in ftp to get licence.ps

  45. version of the PostScript licence form.
